I have developed a repower and regear set-up for the large Sante Fe style locos that Bachmann no longer produces or repairs. No one else except in brass produces such a nice monster loco. If you have one that has a burnt motor, I may buy it from you, or you can repower it better than new. Contact me for information. It requires total disassembly and some basic milling.

Instructions with prints for 4-8-4 and 2-10-4. The parts you’ll need are ~$40 for the gearbox from NWSL right now plus what ever motor and u-joint you use.

I can do the milling and drive assembly for $40 if you send the parts and frame.
